FIRE ALARM SYSTEM

Spinner Place has a very sensitive fire alarm system. As such, it is very important that you do not tamper with any detectors and do not smoke inside the building.  When the alarm sounds, all residents MUST exit Spinner Place via the closest emergency exit and proceed away from the building. Please refer to the evacuation plan posted on your apartment door. Do not use the elevators. The Fire Department will respond to the alarm. Residents may not re-enter the building until Fire Department responders or Spinner Place staff members state that it is safe to re-enter.

Each unit is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. These detectors will beep when the battery needs to be replaced. Complete a work order as soon as possible to have the battery replaced. Do NOT attempt to replace them yourself. There is a proper procedure to reset them. Please contact a staff member for assistance.

Please be aware that if you accidentally burn food in your kitchen and open your apartment door, smoke may enter the corridors and set off the fire alarm. If possible, open your windows to air out the apartment.

If you don’t have a car, you can still get around. There is CATMA information in the lobby or visit their CATMA website.
